LONDON — The Corbin Middle School Lady Redhounds volleyball team capped off an impressive season by capturing the 2024 Conference Championship this past weekend.
Corbin finished with an undefeated conference record for the season as Annabelle Griffin captured MVP honors while Elin Curry was named to the All Tournament Team.
“I am so incredibly proud of these girls,” Corbin coach Krystal Jones said. “To say that they have come a long way in the past two years is an understatement. It was the ultimate privilege for Coach Nikki and I to have been given the opportunity to coach them this season. They are a very special group of athletes that fought hard and refused to settle for being just good enough. I have no doubt that they are going to continue doing special things in the seasons ahead.
“Now that our middle school season has ended on the highest note, I am looking forward to moving into the head coach position for our high school program this summer,” she added, “We are going to work hard and carry this determination and effort into high school ball. The future is bright for Corbin Redhound Volleyball. Go Hounds!”
Jones’ JV squad also finished 20-2 while the sixth grade turned in a 19-3 record.
