WILLIAMSBURG — Jackson County captured a school-record 22 wins during Monday’s 15-0 victory over Williamsburg.
The Lady Generals (22-9) took control of the game early, scoring a run in the first inning before putting the game away with three runs in the third inning, six runs in the fourth inning, and five runs in the sixth inning.
Jackson County pounded out 16 hits with Kylie Moore leading the way with two hits, six RBI, and three runs scored. Lexi Brockman finished with three hits and RBI and two runs scored while Baylee Berry turned in a two-hit, one-RBI effort while scoring three times. Emily Mays finished with two hits and an RBI while Josie Starcher delivered two hits, an RBI, and scored once. Blakelynn Fee had a hit and scored four times while Candice Williams finished with a hit and two RBI. Ella Sallee delivered a hit and an RBI while Macy Wathen had a hit. Aubrey Estridge had a hit and scored once.
Williams, who captured her 20th win, limited Williamsburg (5-23) to only one hit and struck out seven batters.
Haylee Baird had the Lady Yellow Jackets’ lone hit while Allie Wilson took the loss.
