Clay County picked up two big wins this past week to improve to 18-12.
The Tigers defeated Estill County, 7-6, while handing Leslie County a 6-3 loss.
Talan Marcum went 3-for-3with an RBI and one run scored during Clay County’s win over Estill County while Hayden Crockett had a hit and three RBI. Brandin Crawford also added a run-scoring hit while Tate Rice picked up the win, allowing five hits and two earned runs in five innings of work. He also had one K.
Against Leslie County, Marcum continued his hot hitting. He went 2-for-3 with three RBI and scored twice. Adon Grubb and Aidan Lovett drove in runs.
Grayson Hooker got the win, throwing seven innings while allowing seven hits and three earned runs. He struck out four batters.
