SOMERSET — Corbin senior Mikey Neal delivered home runs No. 8 and 9 during Monday’s 15-1 rout of Southwestern.
Neal turned in a stellar effort, finishing with two homers, four RBI, and two runs scored.
The Redhounds (24-9) wasted little time picking up their third win in a row, scoring four runs in the first inning before adding five runs in both the third and fourth innings, and another run in the fifth inning.
“Our pitchers were sharp and we had some guys break out at the plate tonight,” Corbin coach Cody Philpot said. “We hit the ball all the way through lineup and even our outs were productive. A good night for us as we gear up for the postseason.”
