CORBIN — Knox Central only needed three innings to eliminate Lynn Camp during semifinal action of the 51st District Tournament.
The Panthers (17-10) scored 14 runs in the first inning while adding another run in the third inning to secure a 15-0 win.
Knox Central’s Grant Miller picked up the win on the mound, tossing three hitless and scoreless innings while striking out seven batters.
Lynn Camp’s Shannon Cox was the lone runner for the Wildcats (3-21) thanks to a walk.
The Panthers connected with nine hits with six of those accounting for doubles.
Hayden Melton led Knox Central with two hits, two RBI, and two runs scored while John Davis was 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run scored. Brady Engle, Jacob Osborne, and Waylon Frazier finished with a hit, two RBI and one run scored apiece.
