HARLAN — Bell County earned its bid into next week’s 13th Region Tournament thanks to a 5-1 win over Middlesboro.
The Bobcats (16-7) scored two runs in the third inning and three runs in the sixth inning to wrap up the win.
Joseph Brigmon led Bell County with two hits while Jackson Walters had a hit and two RBI. Cooper Brock also had a run-scoring hit in the win.
Blake Burnett got the win, tossing a complete game while allowing only one hit and one earned run. He struck out eight batters.
Case Bayless had Middlesboro’s lone hit.
