HARLAN — It took eight innings but Harlan found a way to pick up another win while earning its berth into next week’s 13th Region Fastpitch Tournament.
The Lady Green Dragons trailed 4-2 entering the bottom of the seventh before rallying to tie the game at four apiece, sending it into extra innings.
Middlesboro score a run in the top of the eighth but Harlan’s Jordyn Smith connected with a two-run double to give her team a 6-5 win in eight innings.
Smith finished with four hits and three RBI while Abbi Fields finished with three hits (two home runs), two RBI, and three runs scored. Ava Nunez and Addison Jackson (two hits) also produced run-scoring hits.
