MUCH-NEEDED WIN: Pineville gains momentum heading into 13th Region All ’A’ Classic Tournament with win over Lynn Camp

Samantha North’s Pineville Lady Mountain Lions will be entering this weekend’s 13th All ‘A’ Classic Volleyball Tournament with some much-needed momentum after defeating Lynn Camp in three sets on Tuesday.

The win improved Pineville to 5-7 while snapping a two-game losing skid during the process.

“Our team is still working on figuring out how to be the best version of ourselves and I’m super excited to see what happens when it finally clicks together,” North said. “We are building a program that hopes to rival the established programs we have played so far and we are still working through the kinks, but when we get it right I believe we can outperform anyone.”

The Lady Mountain Lions won the first set against Lynn Camp, 25-14, before cruising to a 25-11 victory in the second set, and a 25-9 win in the third set.

“We are looking forward to Saturday’s Class A tournament but knew we couldn’t overlook a scrappy Lynn Camp team tonight,” North said. “It felt good to get back in the win column.”
