The first game of the tournament could be the best quarterfinal matchup — Lynn Camp (23-11) against defending region champion South Laurel (26-8).

Harlan is batting .356 on the season with seven batters hitting over .300. The Lady Green Dragons also have connected on 19 home runs.
But with that said, Harlan will be facing one of the region’s best pitchers in Jackson County’s Candice Williams. She limited the Lady Green Dragons to only two hits during the two teams’ early meeting while striking out nine batters.
Williams possesses an impressive 21-9 record and has struck out 258 batters this season.
The Lady Green Dragons lead the overall series against the Lady Generals with an 8-5 mark.
The third matchup of the day at 4 p.m. on Monday puts North Laurel (24-9) versus Harlan County (14-19).
The Lady Jaguars have been playing be of the top teams in the region throughout the season while playing one of the toughest slates.
Chris Edwards’ squad possesses one of the best duo pitching staffs in the region in Emma Carl (12-5), and Tessa Monhollen (12-4). North Laurel is also hitting .386 while totaling 23 home runs.
The Lady Black Bears have turned things around after starting the season with a 3-13 mark. They are 11-6 during their last 17 games, and is led by pitcher Alexis Adams, who is 14-9 on the season.
The Lady Jaguars have never lost to the Lady Black Bears, holding an impressive 10-0 mark against them.
