Corbin continued its red-hot play of late, winning its fifth game in a row on Tuesday by sidestepping Harlan County in three sets.
The win improved the Lady Redhounds to 6-2, and they’ll be back in action on the road Thursday in a 50th District battle with rival South Laurel.
“Tonight was great region win for us,” Corbin coach Vanessa Ross said. “We came out and put away the ball. We were making smart plays. I was pleased with the way the way that we played tonight.”
Harlan County battled in the first set before Corbin pulled off a 25-14 win. The Lady Redhounds dominated the final two sets, winning, 25-9, and 25-13.
The Lady Black Bears (3-3) will be back at home on Thursday against Letcher Central.
