LEXINGTON — South Laurel’s Gracie Hoskins placed second overall in the KHSAA Class 3A State Track and Field Meet while helping her team finish 28th overall with eight points.
North Laurel’s Roslyn Valentine also competed in the event, placing 16th overall in both the 100 Meter Hurdles (16.79), and the 300 Meter Hurdles (49.12).
On the boys’ side, North Laurel placed 29th with five points as Gamarius Isby placed sixth in the 400 Meter Dash (49.81) while the 4×400 Meter Relay team of Cam Anderson, Carson Collett, Gamarius Isby, and Xander Harris turned in a seventh place finish with a time of 3:27.36.
Wed Dowell had South Laurel’s highest finish, placing 10th in the High Jump (5-10).
