Lady Redhound volleyball shines during Bluegrass State Games

CORBIN — The Corbin Lady Redhound volleyball team has been busy this summer while improving daily during the process.
From traveling to Florida and Louisville for camps, Corbin coach Krystal Jones has her team ready for the season to begin.
“This has been a crazy busy and challenging pre season for us this year,” Jones said. “We have traveled from Florida to Louisville for camps. We got to see that hard work and effort pay off this weekend at the Bluegrass Games.”
The Lady Redhounds turned in an impressive showing during the Bluegrass State Games this past weekend.
Corbin beat Louisville Male and Lexington Christian to advance to the Championship Bracket before falling to Dunbar.
“I could not possibly be more proud of these girls,” Jones said. “They are fighters, and every single time they take that court, they step up to the challenge. We may be one of the younger teams out there, but we are maturing quickly, and everything that we have worked is starting to click.
“This program has a great record of successes,” she added. “It makes me incredibly proud that this group got to put another page in the Redhound history books today by playing their way into the championship bracket for the very first time.”
