CORBIN — The Corbin Lady Redhound golf team continued their impressive season, defeating both North Laurel and South Laurel in a tri-match.
Corbin honored Eli Hill by wearing blue polos while shooting a 186. North Laurel finished with a 218 while South Laurel shot a 232.
Makena Myatt tied for first with a 39 while Kalyn Watkins shot a 45, good enough for a third place effort. Hannah Perry placed fourth with a 50.
“This was a special night for us, and we played really well,” Corbin coach Danielle Hardin said. “We started off the night with some struggles, but we were able to rally and ended up finishing strong. Our biggest thing tonight was playing for Eli and honoring his memory. Next week we will be heading to Pineville as the reigning champions to play in the 2A, Region 7 Tournament for a chance to travel to Owensboro for the Kentucky 2A State Tournament.”
