STANFORD — Jeremy Howard’s South Laurel girls’ soccer team dropped to 0-2 on the season after falling to Lincoln County, 7-0.
The Lady Cardinals hung tough against the Lady Patriots, but struggled to find the back of the net for the second consecutive game.
“We had a rough night but we had a lot of players step up and play new positions that they have never played,” Howard said. “Kenzie Hubbard did an amazing job leading our club team in a tough loss. I’m really proud of her stepping up and leading this team.
“We have a lot of development to do and the younger ladies are starting to show progress,” he added. “Although the score line wasn’t what we wanted it to be, it was still a great game for them to learn how to start working as a team.”
