JELLICO, TENN. — A strong defensive effort play a big role in Williamsburg’s 3-0 win over Jellico, Tenn. on Thursday.
The Lady Yellow Jackets improved to 2-0 thanks to a 25-14, 25-22, and 25-11 victory over the Lady Blue Devils.
“Tonight our team played with a lot of effort defensively,” Williamsburg coach Dirk Berta said. “Our serve-receive continues to be a strength. The girls have worked really hard on this I’m happy to see those efforts paying off. We need to sustain our energy and enthusiasm consistently through the entirety of the match. “I’m excited for Saturday and our All “A” Invitational Tournament,” he added. “Looking forward to some great competition and the opportunity to win a championship trophy.
