CORBIN — Corbin played its first volleyball match in front of its home crowd on Thursday, coming away with a 25-16, 25-19 win over Wayne County to improve to 2-0.
The Lady Redhounds impressed on offense and defense to get the win.
“Our girls played with heart and determination tonight, against a tough Wayne County team,” Corbin coach Krystal Jones said. “I’m incredibly proud of how our girls came together as a team and executed the game plan. It’s a great start to the season, and we look forward to building on this momentum.
“It was a great feeling to be back in our gym with our fans,” she added. “There’s nothing like Redhound pride. Go Hounds.”
