STEARNS — The South Laurel Lady Cardinals volleyball team continues to show improvement after going 3-1 in the McCreary Central
invitational while pushing their record to 4-2.
“We lost to Wayne County, then beat Perry Central, Barren County, and McCreary Central,” South Laurel coach Shelley Nunley said. “We had a really good day and got progressively more cohesive from set to set. I was really proud of the way they pulled themselves out of a few situations that they easily could have given up in. “They showed a good amount of fight today and found confidence in different skills throughout the day,” she added. “We’re all glad to get a few solid, hard-fought wins under our belt for our first Saturday of the season.”
