MCKEE — Jackson County and South Laurel hooked up in an old-fashioned 13th Region matchup with the Lady Generals coming away with a 3-1 win.
The win improved Jackson County to 5-3 while the Lady Cardinals fell to 6-4.
“Jackson is a really scrappy team and they play with a lot of heart,” South Laurel coach Shelley Nunley said. “When it came down to it, they out-fought us and we made a lot of errors that put us is hard places that we didn’t recover from.”
