LONDON — North Laurel ran its 49th District win streak to 17 games after picking up an easy 3-0 win over Clay County on Thursday.
The Lady Jaguars also won their second game in a row and even their record to 2-2 after picking up a convincing, 25-3, 25-16, and 25-15 victory.
The loss dropped Clay County to 0-3 overall and 0-1 against district opponents.
“Always nice to get a district win,” North Laurel coach James Hendrix said. “We played solid in the first set and limited our mistakes. We played a little sloppy in the second and third set but did enough to pull out the win.”
North Laurel will be back in action Wednesday in a key district battle against Jackson County before traveling to play the 13th Region’s top ranked team, Corbin.
