LONDON — After a day’s rest, Kayla Bargo’s North Laurel Lady Jaguars continue to roll, improving to a perfect 3-0 while handing Lincoln County a 6-3 loss on Thursday.
The Lady Jaguars received two-goal efforts from Presley Thompson and Haley Combs while Annabelle Welch and Lauren Crouch scored a goal apiece.
“After a day of rest we came out refreshed and playing some really good soccer,” Bargo said. “We were able to jump out to a 5-0 lead. We had to shift some things around on the defensive end due to injury and the girls really stepped up in a big way.
“We had some great defensive play tonight,” she added. “I think we got a little too complacent going into the second half and allowed them to get back in the game but thankfully we were able to regroup and finish strong.”
