CORBIN — Another day, another win for the Corbin Lady Redhounds.
Krystal Jones’ squad captured its first 50th District win of the season while running its record to an unblemished 5-0 with a three-set sweep of struggling South Laurel.
“The first district win is always highly anticipated,” Jones said. “Proud of our girls for playing hard, keeping their heads in the game, and getting the job done. We have some things to work on tomorrow, and then we head to McCreary for 2A on Saturday.”
The loss dropped the Lady Cardinals to 6-5 overall and 0-2 against 50th District opponents.
Corbin came out and established itself early with a 25-10 win in the first set. The Lady Redhounds cruised to a 25-14 win in the second set before pulling out a 25-22 victory in the third set.
