Bell County’s Caden Miracle continues to dominate; Corbin adds another first place team honor 

Bell County’s Caden Miracle continued his impressive cross country season by capturing first place honors with a time of 15:37.01 during Saturday’s Lynn Camp Invitational.

Miracle dominated the competition finishing an impressive 1:41 ahead of second place finisher, South Laurel’s Will Stanko (17:18.83).

Corbin continued its dominance by winning another meet with 62 points, slipping past second place finisher Bell County, who had 70 points.

North Laurel (third, 95), East Jessamine (fourth, 99), South Laurel (fifth, 135), Harlan County (sixth, 138), Whitley County (seventh, 155), Williamsburg (eighth, 191), Mercer County (ninth, 224), and Harlan (10th, 271) rounded out the competing teams.

South Laurel’s Jacob Tapscott finished third (17:23.43) while Bell County’s Nicholas Stewart (18:43.11) turned in a fourth place effort.

Corbin eighth grader Kaleb Terrell finished sixth (18:00.08) while North Laurel’s Jace King (seventh, 18:07.56), Corbin’s Ethan Slone (ninth, 19:10.19), and Harlan County’s Andrew Yeary (10th, 18:16.69) rounded out the 13th Region teams’ top 10 runners.

Joshua Grubb (13th, 18:28.24) led Whitley County while Williamsburg’s Alex Coleman (22nd, 18:58.87) was the Yellow Jackets’ top finisher.

Landon Howard (34th, 19:57.90) was Clay County’s top runner while Dylan Cox led Harlan (39th, 20:14.75). Knox Central’s Dakota Brown finished 69th with a  time of 23:38.76 while Lynn Camp’s Jaden Stewart finished 71st with a time of 23:51.29.

Red Bird’s Joseph Mutamba finished 95th (37:46).
