RICHMOND — Roger Taylor’s Corbin Redhounds turned in one of their best efforts of the season, picking up a 1-0 win over Wayne County during the Madison Central Invitational.
The Redhounds (4-5) are now winners of two straight as Jeffery Morton scored the game’s lone goal.
“Tonight was the first game where I thought we played great for a full 80 minutes,” Taylor said. “We controlled the game from the start with smart decision making. Captain John Ball dominated the midfield and JP Carmichael ran the defense ragged.
“Blake Butler and Leo Moses snuffed out every Wayne County attack quickly,” he added. “Jeffery Morton has gotten much better about finding the ball in the box, and scored the winner.”
