Lady Cardinals finish with a one-all draw against Pulaski County

SOMERSET — It wasn’t a win, but then again, it wasn’t a loss either.

The South Laurel Lady Cardinals hit the road to play Pulaski County and came away with a one-all draw.

It turned out to be the Lady Maroons’ (4-2-4) fourth draw of the season while South Laurel’s is now 1-2-1.

Gracie Hoskins scored South Laurel’s lone goal while Ally Galicia picked up an assist.

“Tonight was another tough night for us,” South Laurel coach Jeremy Howard said. “We seemed lethargic in the first half. We didn’t progress the ball with an intent. The second half we came out and played a lot better, getting a goal back to draw even and we kept on fighting to the very end so that’s a great improvement.

“This team has a long way to go but I know they can do it as long as we stay healthy,” he added. “We have Powell county on Saturday at Powell.”
