SOMERSET — It wasn’t the outcome North Laurel coach James Hendrix wanted during Tuesday’s matchup with Pulaski County.
The Lady Jaguars played their first match in 12 days, as Pulaski County cruised to a 3-0 win.
The loss drops North Laurel to 3-4 while extending the Lady Jaguars’ losing skid to two games.
“This has been a tough week or so for everyone,” Hendrix said. “We were starting to improve and look on the up-and-up, and then we didn’t see each other for a week. So, we’re back in school now.
“We’re focusing on trying to lock back in and make up for lost time,” he added. “We’ll try to shake off some more rust at practice tomorrow before we head to Southwestern.”
Hendrix’s squad will attempt to get back on track Thursday with another tough road match against Southwestern.
North Laurel will then begin next week with a match against two-time defending 13th Region champion Whitley County while also playing South Laurel, Corbin and Dunbar.
