BEREA — Autumn Sawyers continues her impressive senior season, scoring six goals while adding two assists to propel Whitley County to a 9-1 win over Berea.
Sawyers now has a 13th Region-best 23 goals and five assists on the season while the Lady Colonels improved to 5-4.
Aliya Nugent and Norma Proffitt had one goal and two assists apiece while Keira Mullins scored one goal, Cali Nugent added two assists, and Olivia Richardson finished with one assist.
“The girls played a solid game tonight,” Whitley County coach Michael Sawyers said. “They possessed the ball the majority of the game. Our defense played a solid game and our midfield delivered the ball well to our forward. We are just trying to make small improvements with each game to get ready for district.”
