CORBIN — Corbin entered as one of the top-rated teams entering the Kentucky 2A State Volleyball Tournament but couldn’t get on track during its match against Franklin County in first round action.
The Lady Redhounds entered with a 14-2 mark but dropped their third match of the season, losing in three sets to the Lady Flyers.
Corbin struggled in the first set, losing 25-11 before picking things up in the next two sets.
The Lady Redhounds fought hard in the second set before losing 25-15. Franklin County locked up the match with a 25-22 win in the third set.
Krystal Jones’ squad will be back in action Monday at home against Madison Central before traveling to play North Laurel Thursday.
Corbin played the Lady Jaguars earlier in the season, picking by up a 3-0 victory at home.
