L4 SECURITY 13TH REGION MEDIA NETWORK BOYS’ SOCCER WEEK FOUR RANKINGS: No changes at the top, Corbin and North Laurel still reign supreme

1. Corbin (6-5 overall, 2-0 vs. region opponents)

The Redhounds continue to roll after starting the season 0-3. Everyone is keeping an eye on Sept. 27 when Corbin pats a visit to No. 2 ranked North Laurel.

2. North Laurel (8-2-1, 3-0)

The Jaguars are the hottest team in the region. They’ve reeled off seven straight wins which marks their longest win streak since 2014.

North Laurel now has five shutouts this season and picked up wins over South Laurel, Southwestern, and Lincoln County this past week.

3. South Laurel (3-5-2, 1-1)

The Cardinals have still yet won consecutive games this season but it does look as if they’re beginning to hit stride at the right time.

They dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 2 North Laurel last week but get a chance to move up in the rankings if they can beat No. 1 Corbin on Tuesday.

4. Whitley County (4-5, 4-2)

The Colonels have lost four of their last five games which included defeats to both No. 1 Corbin (8-0), and No. 2 North Laurel (8-5). They should be able to get back on track this week with matches against Barbourville, and Oneida Baptist.

5. Harlan County (4-4-2, 3-1)

The Black Bears are looking to gain some momentum this week, and very well could with winnable matches against Red Bird, Middlesboro, and Estill County this week.
