Oneida Baptist finishes as All ‘A’ Classic Boys’ Soccer State Runner-Up

LOUISVILLE — Oneida Baptist came up one win short of capturing the All ‘A’ Classic Boys’ Soccer State championship after falling to Collegiate, 8-0, in the state title game on Sunday.

The Mountaineers reached the state title game by recording a 4-0 win over Todd Central and a 2-1 victory against University Heights.

Samuel Cho scored two goals while Amadeus Martin and Jonathan Fan each added a goal apiece against Todd Central. Enrique Gabardo, Hero Khajohnsupawatchara and Noah Jeon each added an assist apiece.

Against University Heights, the Mountaineers (12-2) won the game via penalty kicks as Gabardo recorded a goal while Jeon had an assist. Keeper Jason Fan had 15 saves.

Jason Fan, Jonathan fan, Amadeus Martin, and Skyler Roberts were named to the All-Tournament Team.
