LONDON — North Laurel scored a season-best seven goals during its 7-4 win over Somerset to improve to 5-2 on the season.
The Lady Jaguars scored early and often despite battling rainy conditions throughout the match.
“The rain never let up tonight and neither did our team,” North Laurel coach Kayla Bargo said. “I’m proud of our fight tonight. We just kept pushing and in the end it paid off with a great win. I challenged our offense before the game to put the ball in the net.
“They delivered with the most goals we’ve scored all season,” she added. “Defense stood strong and held their ground. All around it was a great team effort.”
