LONDON — South Laurel’s district loss to Pulaski County could be summed up pretty simple — the Cardinals had no answer for Maroons running back Kasen Brock.
All Brock did was run for more than 100 yards in the first quarter while finishing the game with more than 200 yards rushing and six touchdowns to lead Pulaski County to an easy 49-7 win over South Laurel.
It marked the first time Cardinal coach John Hines faced his former team, as South Laurel fell to 3-2 on the season and 0-1 in district play.
The Cardinals have now lost 13 games in a row to the Maroons, and have only won one time (2011) against Pulaski County during the two teams’ past 21 meetings.
