WILLIAMSBURG — Dirk Berta’s Williamsburg Lady Yellow Jackets are back on track, capturing their second 50th District win on the season by recording an impressive 3-0 win over South Laurel.
The Lady Yellow Jackets have now defeated the Lady Cardinals twice this season. They are now 15-9 overall and 2-3 versus district opponents. South Laurel drops to 6-16 overall and 0-5 against district foes.
After surviving a 25-23 win in the first set, the Lady Cardinals cruised to 25-18, and 25-18, victories in the second and third sets to Wrapup the win.
“I have to give all of the credit to our players,” Williamsburg coach Dirk Berta said. “This was a total team effort and we played Williamsburg volleyball. We passed great, good offense, and played tremendous defense with great effort. Any win is good, but a 50th District win is even better. Extremely proud of this group. As always, Go Jackets.”
