Samantha North’s Pineville Lady Mountain Lions we’re hoping to get out of the rut they’ve been in the past week or so but dropped another heartbreaker, this time to Harlan County.
Pineville entered the match losers of three out it’s last four matches, and things didn’t get any better on Monday, as they lost a three-setter to Harlan County.
The Lady Black Bears set the tone in the first set, winning, 25-9, before reeling off a 25-13 victory in the second set, and a 25-19 win in the third set.
“We are still working on finding the fight and scrap that many of the teams we play against have,” North said. “I was really impressed with Harlan County, they have improved tremendously over the last several years and deserve the hype they get. We got outplayed in sleeve/receive and weren’t able to close the gaps. We still have a lot of season left to play though and our goals haven’t changed.”
Pineville will be back in action Tuesday on the road against Harlan while Harlan County will hit the road and face-off against North Laurel on Tuesday.
