STEARNS — A slow start led to Williamsburg’s 2-0 loss to McCreary Central on Thursday, snapping the Lady Yellow Jackets’ two-game win streak during the process.
The Lady Raiders picked up a 25-14 win in the first set before sealing the win with a 25-23 victory in the second set.
“We started out too slow tonight, especially playing best two out of three sets,” Williamsburg coach Dirk Berta said. “Give credit to McCreary as well though, they came out from the start and had good offense.
“We struggled to find consistency offensively and it put us in a tough spot,” he added. “We’re looking forward to next week with practice and another 50th District matchup. As always, Go Jackets.”
