Grace Gibson added four more goals to her 13th Region-leading 31 goals scored while Olivia Jones added a goal and two assist as Corbin picked up a 5-4 win road win over Oneida, Tenn. on Monday.
Jones now has 21 goals and a 13th Region-best 18 assists while Suzy Gilbert also had an assist.
The win is Corbin’s eighth in a row, and now the Lady Redhounds’ record stands at 9-3.
“We played well,” Corbin coach Hannah Goins said. “We’ve been possessing and finding the back the net very well lately. Oneida is always a good team. They came out hard in the second half. We had a few little breakdowns but we were able to hold them off.
“I’m proud of my team,” she added. “I think we are really coming together and playing very well at the right time.”
Corbin will be back in action Thursday with a key 49th District matchup with South Laurel.
