North Laurel’s win streak snapped at seven; Pulaski hands Jaguars 4-1 loss

North Laurel’s quest of breaking the 2001 team’s record of 10 straight wins came to an end on Monday after falling to Pulaski County, 4-1.

The Maroons jumped out to a 2-0 lead before seeing Tanner Broyles found Gabe Steely for the Jaguars’ lone goal.

Pulaski County added two more goals to secure the win. The loss dropped North Laurel to 8-3-1.

“We came out flat tonight defensively and gave up 2 more goals before halftime,” North Laurel coach David Broyles said. “We came out in the second half with more intensity defensively, and were able to hold the score at 4-1. We had some opportunities in the second half, but just couldn’t find the back of the net. We will regroup and get ready for Somerset Christian on Thursday.”
