MANCHESTER — A week and a half ago, the Corbin Redhounds stunned Oneida Baptist with a 3-2 win.
On Tuesday, both teams were facing off in an elimination match during semifinal action of the 49th District Boys’ Tournament semifinals, and this time around, the Mountaineers were able to get some revenge.
The two teams hooked up in a fierce defensive battle until the 53rd minute when Oneida Baptist scored on a free kick that eventually turned out to be the game-winning goal as the Mountaineers came out victorious, 1-0.
Oneida Baptist will now host North Laurel Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the championship game.
The two teams met on Oct. 1 with the Jaguars coming away with a 5-1 win.
