BOWLING GREEN — North Laurel’s Brady Hensley capped off the KHSAA Boys’ Golf Championships with a fourth place effort by shooting a 71 on Day One, and finishing Wednesday with a 74 on Day Two.
Hensley played solid the entire tournament, shooting a 145, finishing only two shots off from Lexington Catholic’s Charlie Spiller, who was crowned state champion after finishing with a 143.
Hensley shot a five on hole one to begin the day and followed with a six on hole two before turning things around on hole three with a three. He followed with identical fours on holes four, five and six before shooting a two on hole seven. He finished with a four on hole eight and a five on hole nine, shooting a 37 overall.
Hensley begin the back nine with a four, three, four and three before shooting a five on holes 14 and 15. He finished with a four on hole 16 before shooting another four on hole 17. He finished with a five on hole 18 to finish the back nine with a 37.
