SOMERSET — North Laurel went up against one of the best teams in the 12th Region, putting up a fight before falling to Southwestern in four sets.
The Lady Jaguars dropped the first two sets, 12-25, and 19-25, before winning the third set, 25-20. The Lady Warriors secured the win over North Laurel with a 25-21 victory in the fourth set.
“We took another L tonight but we continue to improve and showed we could play with a really tough out-of-region opponent,” North Laurel coach James Hendrix said. “We showed some jitters in the first set, but we once we settled in we completed for the last three sets, taking the third.
“The girls are starting to come together and are getting better everyday, looking forward to the postseason,” he added. “Congratulations to Reagan Isaac for getting her 1000th kill tonight.”
