Dixon’s crystal ball: Can South Laurel, Corbin, Knox & Bell keep winning ways going?

A 6-2 record last week hasn’t kept me from getting 80 percent of my games correct (barely), and that’s been my goal since Week One.

Currently, my record stands at 50-12, and this week I hope to keep rolling.

McCreary Central at Clay County

The a tigers keep rolling. Look for their ground game to dominate again.

Prediction: Clay County 28, McCreary Central 6

South Laurel at Harlan County

The Cardinals are coming off a huge win and now travel to face-off against a Harlan County squad that is way better than its record. 

Prediction: Harlan County 28, South Laurel 20

Jackson County at Clinton County

The Generals face a tough task on the road against a Bulldog team that will be ready to defend home turf.

Prediction: Clinton County 26, Jackson County 21

Knott Central at Harlan

This could be a really good game. Look for harlan to keep it close.

Prediction: Knott Central 34, Harlan 21

Pineville at Middlesboro

It’s been a long season for the Mountain Lions, and the bad news is, they’re going against a team that is hitting stride.

Prediction: Middlesboro 49, Pineville 7

Perry Central at Whitley County

Look for a close game but in the end, the home team will win this one.

Prediction: Whitley County 24, Perry Central 18

North Laurel at Pulaski County

The Jaguars are having major struggles on offense. North Laurel will look to avoid its fifth straight loss.

Prediction: Pulaski County 42, North Laurel 7

Letcher Central at Corbin

The Redhounds are going to win this one, but don’t be surprised if Letcher Central hangs around for a while.

Prediction: Corbin 56, Letcher Central 27

Williamsburg at Lynn Camp

The Yellow Jackets will look to continue its dominance over the Wildcats. This game could be a close one.

Prediction: Williamsburg 40, Lynn Camp 20

Bell County at Knox Central

Both teams are red-hot as Knox Central coach Wayne Mills will go up against his former team.

Prediction: Bell County 27, Knox Central 14
