Lady Jackets hang tough during loss to CHAT

WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg coach Dirk Berta wanted to test his team before postseason play begins Monday, and what better way than going up against Cumberland Homeschool Athletics Teams (CHAT).

The Lady Yellow Jackets (17–13) hung tough, but eventually fell in three sets, 25-15, 25-19, and 25-19.

“We played a great team in CHAT tonight,” Berta said. “It’s always productive to play quality competition right before postseason begins. We will get back to practice before going into the district tournament and work on the things that need to be worked on. As always, Go Jackets!”

Williamsburg will be back in action Monday during semifinal action of the 50th District Tournament against host Corbin at 8 p.m.
