Harlan’s Jonah Sharp runs for 301 yards and a TD to lead Green Dragons past Lynn Camp

HARLAN — Harlan’s Jonah Sharp ran for 301 yards on Friday, leading the Green Dragons to a 30-8 win over Lynn Camp on Friday.

The Wildcats had hopes of getting a road district win but had no answer for Sharp and couldn’t get anything going on both sides of the ball.

Harlan improved to 2-6 overall and 2-1 in district play while Lynn Camp falls to 3-4 overall, and 0-3 in district play.

“We had a bad night,” Lynn Camp coach Darrell Hendrix said. “Every time we got something going offensively, we shot ourselves in the foot. We got in the red zone a few times and couldn’t punch it in.

“Our quarterback David Bargo getting hurt has changed our offense and we’re struggling a little bit,” he added. “We’ve had some linemen injuries and some young guys are having to step up and give us everything they’ve got. Harlan was ready to play and they did what they needed to get the win. We’ve gotta regroup and get back to work.”
