Matthew Sawyers continued his impressive play on Tuesday, scoring five goals to set the Whitley County boys’ soccer program’s single-season goal record. He now has 26 on the season.
Jacob Senters finished with two goals while Johnny Parra and Brent Grimes scored one goal apiece.
“This was a game where we needed to get back on track after a couple of tough losses,” Whitley County coach Michael Branham said. “Our defense and midfield controlled the ball well, we were able to possess better than we have been which led to our goals. We look to build on that success as we take on OBI Thursday.”
