MUCH-NEEDED WIN: Lady Redhounds rally to defeat Wayne County in three sets

After seeing there season-best six-game win streak snapped the day before against Rockcastle County, the Corbin Lady Redhounds responded like good teams do by following up with a 2-1 win over Rockcastle County.

The Lady Redhounds (8-3) dropped the first set, 25-18, but rallied during the final two sets, winning both, 25-19, and 26-24.

“We needed this win tonight against a really good team outside of our region,” Corbin coach Vanessa Ross said. “Wayne County is always a really good team. We made errors but in that second set we made a decision to fight and not be pleased with just getting the ball over. We have to make smart decisions and read the court. We started to do just that in the second and third set.”
