Lexington Bound: Oneida Baptist cruises past Powell County, advances to Final Four 

STANTON — Don’t look now but the Oneida Baptist Mountaineers are two wins away from capturing the boys’ soccer program’s first state championship.

Oneida Baptist (19-4) cruised past Powell County with a 5-0 win during quarterfinals action of the KHSAA Boys’ State Soccer Tournament on Thursday and will now advance to the Final Four against the winner of Campbell County and Henry Clay.

Enrique Gabardo had a hat trick, Hero Khajohnsupawatchara had a goal, and Amadeus Martin had a goal

Since postseason play started, the Mountaineers have been untouchable, outscoring their opponents, 23-1, in six games.
