Henry Clay ends Oneida Baptist’s season with 4-0 win

LEXINGTON — Oneida Baptist held its own against Henry Clay during semifinal action of the KHSAA Boys’ Soccer State Tournament, losing 4-0, on Thursday.

The Blue Devils scored seconds into the match before the Mountaineers (19-5) displayed lockdown defense the remainder of the first half.

The game remained 1-0 in Henry Clay’s favor until the Blue Devils began to take over during the final 27 minutes.

Henry Clay’s goal with 27 minutes remaining pushed its lead to 2-0. The Blue Devils added a goal during the 71st minute while scoring their final go at the 74th minute.

Amadeus Martin and Enrique Gabardo were named to the All-Tournament team.
