Corbin’s boys’ golf team turned in an impressive effort at the right time as regional tournament play will begin next week.
The Redhounds beat Knox Central, Bell County, and Middlesboro by finishing with a 189 while sophomore Ethan Mott finished first with a 40.
“It’s been growing pains for us this year but every single boy on this team has made great improvements and it paid off tonight shooting a team 189 best of the year at Wasiota Winds in Pineville,” Corbin coach Nick Tankersley said. “Eighth grader Brody Faulkner lost third place in a chip off and Ethan Mott finished his best finish of his career with five-over-par 40 for first place overall.”
