The Whitley County Lady Colonels has hopes of making a run in this weekend’s Kentucky Class 2A Volleyball State Tournament but their first round opponent, Christian Academy-Louisville, had other plans.
The Lady Colonels hung tough in the first set, 26-24, before dropping the final two sets, 25-16, and 25-14.
The loss dropped Whitley County to 11-8 on the season. The Lady Colonels will be back in action on the road Monday against CHAT.
