CORBIN — Tony Pietrowski’s Corbin Redhounds picked up their first win of the season, cruising past Lynn Camp with a 96-35 victory.
The Redhounds (1-2) built a 43-13 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Corbin led 70-19 at halftime while taking a 82-22 advantage into the fourth quarter.
Thirteen players scored for Pietrowski’s squad as Ryder Akins led the way with 18 points. He scored 15 of those in the first quarter. Conner Middleton added 16 points while Dawson Farmer scored 15 points. Eli Pietrowski finished with eight points while Lucas Brittain added seven points.
“Proud of my team for coming back in Sunday and putting some solid work and then transitioning that to the floor today,” Pietrowski said. “We remained unselfish when the score got lopsided. That’s encouraging.
“Balanced scoring, got some good reps on both side of the ball and played with good effort,” he added. “We have to be ready to play tomorrow. Coach Parrott and his kids have a lot of pride. They are off to a great start and we need to come in focused.”
The loss dropped Lynn Camp to 0-4, as Jared King led the Wildcats with 17 points while hitting five 3-pointers. Ethan Chafin chipped in 10 points while hitting three 3-pointers.
Corbin will be back in action in the road Tuesday against Jackson County while Lynn Camp will host Somerset Christian on Thursday.
