Colonels move to 4-0 with 88-39 convincing win over Middlesboro

MIDDLESBORO — Another game, another win.

Eric Swords’ Whitley County Colonels remained unbeaten at 4-0 after going in the road and defeating Middlesboro, 88-39.

Riley Fuson led the way with 27 points while Bryson Mahan had 13 points and Levi Jackson scored 12 points.

“Great road win for our guys. Our defensive intensity was great,” Swords said. “(Aaron) Rowe, Dee (Parker) and Tootie (Mahan) really got us going with that.

“We continue to get better on the offensive end,” he added. “As we continue to get better offensively, we got a chance to be really good. Aaron Rowe dominated the boards on both ends and it’s great to see how he is improving and leading. Riley had another big scoring game for us, great to see him finding his rhythm. Tootie did a great job making sure everyone was involved.”

The Colonels will be back in action Friday at home against Jackson County.

“We will have a great test on Friday at 6 p.m.,” Swords said. “Need everyone to come out and support our guys.”
